Airing of the Quilts-Quintessential Quilts

Event Description
Airing of the Quilts showcases beautifully designed and well-loved old quilts as well as many new quilts which are hung or laid out to air, refreshing them without the destructive wear and tear of washing them in soap and water. This custom is always held on the third Saturday of July, and the grounds and the house are draped with quilts from 10 AM-4 PM. People of all ages stop to see the quilt display, and those that drive by take a second look after they realize that the entire yard is hung full with quilts!
