Saturday, December 7, 2019, 10 AM and Monday, December 9, 2019, 7 PM:Auditions for Reedsburg Players Dinner Theatre will be held at 343 Golf Course Road, Reedsburg. Call 608-524-4626 if you need directions. The play is Over the River and Through the Woods, a comedy by Joe DiPietro. It takes place several years ago in an Italian neighborhood in New Jersey. It involves two sets of grandparents who are trying to find a way to convince their grandson not to take a new job in Seattle. They devise many different ways to entice him to stay in New Jersey. This includes trying to find a love interest for him.
The cast includes 3 men and 3 women. Two men and two women need to pass as grandparents while the other man and woman need to pass as being in their 20s-30s. An assistant director is also needed. All rehearsals will be held on week nights until the 3 days preceding the play. The play will be presented as a dinner theatre at the Reedsburg Country Club on February 18, 19, 20 and 22.
