Event Description
The Friends of the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge are celebrating National Wildlife Refuge Week with an Arts Day "Drawn to the Refuge". Have you ever wanted help getting started with a nature journal? Do you have a few notebooks already started? Naturalists will help novices to long-time enthusiasts find and capture nature through pens, pencils, and inspiration at our Drawn to Nature Art Day – register now by messenger, 608-565-2551 or Necedah@fws.gov
(Outside weather permitting / dress for the weather)
9:30-10:00: Nature Writing - Gathering Themes
10:00 - 10:30: Nature Sketching
10:30 - 11:30: Writing and/or Drawing in Nature
11:30 - 12:00: Poetic Sketches - Build lines of poetry from sketches and writings
Bring a sack lunch if you would like to eat with program participants and share some of your
drawings and writings.
Ages 13 and up
