Halloween Hike & Pumpkin Carving Contest at Devil's Lake State Park

Event Description
From 6:00pm until 8:30pm, join us for a one-mile torch torch-lit hike. After your brisk autumn saunter, stay and socialize by the fire. Sue Johansen-Mayoleth, our Park Naturalist will once again have a lot of fun activities including crafts and trivia, with a snake theme this year.
The Friends of Devil's Lake State Park are delighted to welcome everyone to the annual Halloween Hike and Pumpkin Carving Contest! At 3:00pm until 5:30pm at the North Shore, between the Chateau and the Visitor’s Center, we will host a special pumpkin carving contest. Four categories (0-5, 6-11, 12-17, and 18+ years) will be judged on their creativity for carving the most amazing pumpkin. There are a bunch of great prizes to giveaway including a 2023 State Park Pass!
