Event Description
History in 3D with Paul Wolter and Martha Glowacki at the Reedsburg Public Library. Learn the process of creating 3D stereoscope images using historic Sauk County photos telling the history, agricultural and industrial development of Sauk County. The hops craze of the 1860's is discussed, as well as the quarry at Rock Springs, and the iron mines near North Freedom. Stereoscope slides of a Ho-Chunk village along the Baraboo River, as well as the surveying of Alligator Mound and Man Mound in the early 1900's will be presented.
