Knitting for Beginners or Refreshing

Event Description
Learn how to knit or refresh an old skill.
We will be learning how to start a project with a knitted casting on, learn the knit stitch, how to make a yarn over increase, how to decrease, how to read a simple pattern, how to end the project by binding off the stitches and how to weave in the ends. Information on needle and yarn selection for future projects will be discussed. A handout of additional online resources and free patterns will also be given.
A $5 supply fee, to be paid to instructor in cash at class, will include appropriate knitting needles and yarn to make a Cotton Face cloth or dishcloth. For students under 8, adult supervision or adult enrolled in class necessary.
