Saturday, May 20, 2017, 9:30 AM: "Terrific Tomatoes Homegrown", Reedsburg Public Library, 370 Vine Street, Reedsburg. is a tomato a fruit or a vegetable? The answer to this and any other tomato related questions you may have can be answered by Gladys Proctor, Sauk County Master Gardener. She will speak about planting tomatoes, growing season basics, preventing disease and insect damage, controlling weeds and harvesting your bountiful crop. To get the prospective tomato grower started, tomato plants of various varieties will be available for purchase. The May 20 program is the first of a two part series. On August 26, 2017, 9:30 AM, there will be a tomato tasting event. The program is free and there is no registration required. So come and learn. For questions, please call the library at 608-768-7323.
