Free presentation by Sauk County Historical Society Executive Director Paul Wolter at the Frank Fischer Center in Lake Delton. The natural beauty of the Driftless Region from Devil's Lake to the Dells were the catalyst for tourism in the area that began as early as the 1850s.
The arrival of the railroad and the advent of the automobile created the means for ever increasing numbers of people to create the Vacationland that Sauk County is today. From the number one state park and state historic site to the waterpark capital of the Unites States, Sauk County has it all!
