Picnic season is officially here!! 

The challenge this month is to find a “new to you” picnic recipe from a library cookbook and meet us at City Park for our first-ever outdoor gathering. 

Check out a picnic cookbook from our display at the library to make a dish to share at the meeting. Register online on the library’s calendar at www.reedsburglibrary.org or give the library a call. 

See you on June 3rd at 6 pm at City Park, 222 N. Park, Reedsburg. (in the event of rain, we will meet at the Library, 370 Vine St, Reedsburg). 

Bonus challenge - bring your best picnic accessory to show off.

Centuries ago, a war between powerful sorcerers brought humanity to the edge of extinction. To save the world, the last of these magic-wielders made a choice that changed history forever. Their powers vanished, cities were rebuilt, and the magic of the old world faded into legend.

The concert on Wednesday, June 17th features The Honey Pies. This group featuring area musicians plays country, bluegrass, western swing and pop. 

A food truck and other refreshments will be available during the concerts.

These concerts are free and open to the public, but we depend on the generosity of sponsorships and contributions to continue this wonderful series. Bring your lawn chair or blanket, and enjoy a relaxing evening under the shade trees in Reedsburg!

Each month on the fourth Monday at 2 PM, Assistant Library Director Caitlin Opatik will host ?Tech Days? in the library's Community Room.  She will demonstrate the different ways you can send documents to the library?s printer remotely.  These include forwarding emails to the library?s printer, downloading documents to your device to send them via a link on the library?s homepage, or using the "PrinterOn" app. 

Bring your mobile device to the session to see how easy it is to send your print jobs to the library! 

In the early 19th century Wisconsin was a region in flux. The War of 1812 had concluded. Populations and governments were shifting. The British were a recent memory and Indian nations grappled with the onset of American authority. The fur trade, still an important but declining part of the economy now rubbed elbows with emerging mining, lumber, agriculture, and fishing interests.

It’s back! Sunday in the Cemetery only comes around every 2 to 3 years, so don’t miss this chance to see history come to life. Nine actors will portray people from the past and tell their stories of triumph and tragedy on this guided tour of historic Walnut Hill Cemetery.
