The Reedsburg Public Library, in collaboration with the Reedsburg School District, is offering a Facebook Basics Workshop on Saturday, April 2nd from 10AM to Noon in the Library’s Community Room. Nancy Lukes, Reedsburg School District’s Library Media Specialist, will assist with the steps to set up and use a Facebook page. Carrie Covell from Kiwi Media will also demonstrate the many features of Facebook. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops or other devices or may use one of a number of laptops provided for the event by the South Central Library System.

| Apr 7 End of Life Readiness Workshop |
A three-part workshop is being presented in the Library’s Community Room on Thursdays, April 7, 14, and 21 from 4-6PM. Each session will include speakers from the community on topics such as estate planning, hospice care and legal considerations. Donna Hutter is the workshop host and will have available for purchase a workbook guide called And Then There was One by Charlotte Fox. This optional workbook was written by Fox after the sudden death of her husband to help people avoid the struggles she had in honoring her husband’s wishes and settling his affairs. The guide includes checklists and forms that provide a road map through the planning process and will ease the transition for your survivors.
The first session on April 7th will include and introduction to the workshop by Donna Hutter and speaker Tricia King from Home Health United Hospice. On April 14, Brandi Walton from WCCU and Mark Hoof from Hoof Funeral Home will address end-of-life decisions. The final session’s speakers are Laura Colt with Attorneys LaRowe, Gerlach & Taggert and Jim Pritzkow with the ADRC.
Attendees may attend one or all sessions in the series and should register for this free workshop by calling the Library at 768-7323.

In celebration of the visit from quilter Linda Halpin at 10AM on Saturday, April 9th, this month’s Crafternoon activity is a simple quilt project. Crafternoons are a time for adults to discover a variety of crafts on Saturday afternoons from 1-3PM.
On April 9th, Quintessential Quilts is sponsoring a fusible web applique project using the Herky-Jerky stitching method of quilting. All materials and supplies, including sewing machines, will be provided. There is no cost to participate, but registration is required to ensure enough supplies will be available. | It may be impossible to crown any one performer as country music's biggest star, but few would argue that Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, and Johnny Cash would all be near the top of any list. Each broke barriers and changed country and popular music forever. Sweet Dreams & Honky Tonks is a new revue that presents the best loved hits of these classic artists along with stories of their colorful lives and amazing careers. Sweet Dreams & Honky Tonks stars two Wisconsin music veterans: Tom Waselchuk has performed for over three decades, sometimes juggling multiple projects, but always keeping one foot planted firmly in country music. Mr. Waselchuk is a singer and song writer, and plays guitar, bass and pedal steel guitar. Jami Lampkins moved to Madison in 2007 from Nashville, where she was a finalist in the USA Network's "Nashville Star" competition. Ms. Lampkins is a powerful singer, a song writer, and an accomplished guitarist and banjo player who has played professionally since age 14. The back up band for Sweet Dreams & Honky Tonks is The Dang-Its, a group Mr. Waselchuk founded in 1998. |
