This food and farming festival focuses on fermentation in all of its forms. From bread baking, beer making and chocolate tasting, Fermentation Fest is loaded with food events, hands-on demonstrations, cooking classes, seminars, and one-of-kind nationally acclaimed self-guided farm art driving tour.

Oct 1    Harvest Fest Craft Show
Harvest Fest Chili Lunch and Art/Craft Fair will be held at the Reedsburg Fire Department, 131 S. Park St., Reedsburg.  Lunch will include chili, hot dogs, coffee and soda with serving starting at 9 AM. Art and Craft Booths will be located in the Fire Station. Sparky, The Fire Dog, will make an appearance too! $6.50 donation appreciated (adults) with children free. Proceeds from the Chili Lunch and Craft Fair will be used to help purchase new rescue equipment for the Fire Department.

It's out of the tower and on the run as a zany cast of friends and foes help Rapunzel's harrowing escape from the towering imprisonment of Madame Gothe! Be entertained as the Missoula Children's Theatre and more than 50 local students present an original musical adaption of "Rapunzel" in the CAL Center. This production is part of the Missoula Children's Theatre unique international touring project.

Mirror Lake State Park presents “Earth, Music…Magic! Saturday October 1st at 7pm in the Amphitheater This a fun, interactive and educational musical enrichment presentation featuring primitive musical instruments, from all over the world. Come support Project Light Up Reedsburg-Micah Pahl's Eagle Project at the Viking Village Foods. The project focuses on teaching citizens about their carbon footprint. Citizens attending will receive energy-saving tips as well as a free LED or Compact Fluorescent light bulb to begin decreasing their household's carbon emissions.

Oct 8    Ahuchoga: Blue Wing's Legacy Mural Dedication & Cultural Celebration
Ahuchoga: Blue Wing's Legacy-Remembering Our History Through the Arts. Join us to remember and honor the legacy of Ho-Chunk Chief Ahuchoga and his connection to the City of Reedsburg. In 1873, the community of Reedsburg came together to protest and stop the forced removal of Chief Ahuchoga, his family and all Ho-Chunk peoples from their homelands of Wisconsin. Mural dedication and cultural celebration will be at 11 AM. a collaborative project of Little Eagle Arts Foundation and Reedsburg Artslink.

Crafternoon is a crafting time just for adults. The  Reedsburg Public Library will be offering Wine Glass Painting from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Some glassware items will be available, or bring items from home to be decorated. Oct 15    RAHS Bowling Tournament
First Weber Foundation along with Reedsburg Area Historical Society (RAHS) will be holding their 2nd Bowling Tournament at Brewster's Lanes in Reedsburg. Shifts will be 3 pm and 6 pm.

Thanks to everyone's support last year raised $1,930.50 from the tournament and was matched by the First Weber Foundation making a grand total of $3,861.00. These funds supported the Reedsburg Area Historical Society with building maintenance costs, operating costs, and starting a local scholarship for Reedsburg Area High School seniors.

The goal this year is to provide the RAHS with funds to put a new roof on each of the remaining two cabins, finish work on the sides of cabins to make them more secure, and $500 to give five $100 scholarships to 2017 Reedsburg Area High School graduates who are interested in history.

The Reedsburg National Bank is participating in its Seventh Annual Food Pantry Challenge. Branches of The Baraboo National Bank are competing to see which one can collect the most donations for their respective pantries. Reedsburg National Bank is asking the community to help them beat Portage, Baraboo, and Lake Delton by donating items to their office which will then be delivered to the Reedsburg Food Pantry. The contest started October 24th and will run thru November 18th. Over the past six years, The Baraboo National Bank has been able to donate over 26,000 items and $22,000 due to the help of our surrounding communities! RAMC is holding "Flavors of Fall Food Tour".All recipes are prepared by our in house Chef Bryan and will implement in-season produce from our great state! The $10 ticket will include a fun and informational night of sampling the following menu: Guilt Free Pumpkin Smoothie, Sweet Potato Hummus, Rainbow Chard Waldorf with Maple Cider Aioli and Spiced Walnuts, Roasted Tri-Color Fingerling Potatoes with Leeks, Sage Turkey Meatballs with Cranberry Mostarda, Maple Bourbon Butternut Creme Brulee.
