The Friends of Mirror Lake State Park, E10320 Fern Dell Rd, Baraboo, invite you for a Fern Dell Gorge Icicle Hike. Marty is back to guide a fun winter hike into the Fern Dell Gorge to see the ice sheets! Meet him at the Park Office at 10 a.m. for carpooling. The hike will be about 90 minutes of adventure hiking through the woods and into the gorge. Wear snowshoes or ice cleats on boots if it is icy or just some good winter boots to hike in. Walking sticks and snowshoes are recommended but not required. Bring your cameras to capture some beautiful pictures of icicles in the gorge and rock formations.
Due to limited space in the gorge, please RSVP to the Park Office (608-254-2333) to sign up for the hike. A park sticker is required and can be purchased at the park entrance. |

Wednesday, February 27, 2019, 6-9 PM: The Reedsburg Outdoor Club, S2064 Luedtke Rd, LaValle is holding its Spring Group Pre-Registration for the DNR Spring Hunter Safety Class. This class will be held April 1, 2, 5, 6. All classes and the Field Day will be held at the Reedsburg Outdoor Club. Field Day is required to pass. We ask that the student will be 11 years old or older to be included in this class. Adults and parents of youngsters are also encouraged to take the course. A parent or guardian must sign the registration (if under age 18). The cost of the class is $10.00. Class size is limited, so please sign up early. This will be first come first served. You can reserve a spot by emailing your information to craig.hillman01@gmail.com. Upon submitting this email, you are committed to the class, but must still show up on Registration Night to sign paperwork. A Social Security number is required. The format for this class is condensed, and prior study of the materials is mandatory. Each class is also mandatory. Call (608) 963-7447 if you have questions concerning this class.
